The Startup Competition is a merger between MIT Enterprise Arab Startup Competition and MIT Enterprise Saudi Startup Competition. The competition puts entrepreneurs head to head in three different tracks: Ideas, Startups, and Social Entrepreneurship. This year’s competition slogan was, “Empowering Today, Transforming Tomorrow.”
Up-Fuse co-founders, Yara Yassin and Lama El Khawanky traveled to Medina, Saudi Arabia after being crowned semi-finalists in the competition. After 7 months of intensive preparation, they were ready to pitch and win the prize!
Up-Fuse was part of the social entrepreneurship track. The competition was filled with lots of inspirational, hardworking and unique startups. After a week of presenting and pitching, we are humbled to announce that Up-Fuse has won Third Place in the Social Entrepreneurship track.
