You can use a wet piece of cloth with a bit of detergent to gently rub clean the plastic and fabric sections of the bag. Up-fuse bags can’t be machine washed or ironed.

What’s the cleaning process that the plastic bags go through?
The plastic bags are machined washed with water, soap, and anti-bacterial detergents to make sure they’re ready for the next step in the upcycling process.
Upcycling is another form of recycling that upgrades the quality of the material being used. The process is easier and consumes less energy than regular recycling. It can also be easily taught and learned, and doesn’t require high-tech machinery or technical skills to be applied.
Are these scratches/holes on my product?
No, they’re definitely not! These marks on the bag are a result of the handmade upcycling process that sometimes results in the overheating of certain areas of the plastic, causing it to appear scratched or with holes. The imperfection of the material is part of Up-fuse’s identity, and it doesn’t affect the products’ use in any way.
There’s odor in my product. Is this normal?
The smell in your product is just that of the upcycled plastic. Don’t worry, it will wear off with time and use.
Do you have a physical store?
We have a showroom in our Up-fuse office at 105 Al-Yasser St., Al Banafseg 10, 11841, 1st Settlement, New Cairo. You can drop by our office any time during our working hours from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, Sunday-Thursdays.
Do you ship internationally?
We ship worldwide except to Australia and Israel because of legislation issues.
What’s your exchange policy?
You can exchange or refund products within one month of receiving/purchasing them given that they are in good condition/untouched. Clothing and footwear can only be exchanged in case of faulty orders or items.
My bag straps/zipper no longer function, what can I do?

Who carries delivery charges in case of return/exchange?
In case of return/exchange, delivery costs are to be carried by the customer. However, in the case of the return/exchange of a faulty product, delivery costs will be incurred by us at Up-fuse.
How long does shipping take/how long will it take to receive my product?
Local shipping usually takes 2-5 working days from the date of ordering. International shipping takes 2-3 weeks.
The bag I received doesn’t look like the photo on the website!
Each of Up-fuse’s bags and accessories is unique! It’s important to note that none of our products look 100% alike. Some of the products in each collection are reproduced from the same recycled/upcycled plastic sheet, but each of them is one of a kind given that they are all made by hand.
All Up-fuse products are sustainably handmade by local artisans. The process of turning plastic bags into Up-fuse bags and accessories takes care, time, and effort. As an ethical business that stands for fairness and transparency, we always make sure that all the workers involved in making Up-fuse products are treated and paid fairly.
How can I take care of my Up-fuse clothes?
You can hand-wash them or use a washing machine with the least temperature 0°C-30°C. Better not use a dryer. You can iron them on the least degree.
Can I have my initials on a laptop sleeve?
Unfortunately, we don’t customize products except for B2B collaborations or large quantities. You can find all our products on Up-fuse’s website, social media, and office showroom.
Part of our revenue goes to local NGO, “Roh El Shabab”, to help support members of the local community of Mansheyet Naser. All the materials we use for our bags are locally based to support local production.
